Have you heard about the London Motor Film Festival? If you’re into cars and like automotive videos, you should definitely check it out.
Finally an event in recognition and celebration of those involved in the production of automotive media 🙂 They have eight categories to cater for films of different content, genre and style: Best drama film, best documentary, best commercial, best event coverage, best animated film, best student film, best Internet viral and a mysterious Grand Prix Award.
We submitted our Zero Media X Driftmonkey Team movie, The Monkey Life back in summer (filmed and edited by my husband, Luke Wilson). So much work went into this film, we had to give it a try. We were pretty ecstatic when we actually made it to the festival’s “Official Selection”.

Of course we couldn’t miss it, so I booked a day off and we went down to London for the inaugural event. 350 attendees from over 15 different countries, all sharing the same passion. The venue was packed full of videographers, journalists, movie directors, actors, race drivers… and of course car and film enthusiasts!
They said “Dress To Impress”, we did our best…
The Monkey Life by Zero Media was shown on the big screen, amongst 24 other incredible films. I enjoyed most of them, some serious skills there, it’s good to finally have an event to showcase all this hard work. Also such a great networking opportunity, nice to meet other people in this industry.
Very well done to our friends Vince Knight and Al Clark for organising this event, and to Bryn Musselwhite from Speedhunters for hosting it. It was an awesome event, first of many I’m sure! The team at Zero Media is working hard on a new project for 2015, we’ll be back…. 😉
